With over 1500 students from around the world, Malvern House is London’s biggest language school. Our three centres are all based in the heart of the city, and each one features a teacher room with an extensive range of resources. Many of our classrooms are equipped with the latest technology, such as interactive white boards.

In order for our students to get the most from their experience, our class sizes usually range from 14 to 18 people per class. While we do follow core textbooks, Malvern House like to give the opportunity for our teachers to be creative and encourage and train them to use their own resources. We believe planning and preparation is key when delivering high-quality classes, therefore we pay our teachers for some of their time spent outside of the classroom. We also believe in training and developing our teachers and offer workshops and training days to all staff members. An experienced Academic Team in each of our centres ensures our teachers are always given any support they might need.

Positions can be for 15 our 30 guaranteed hours per week, and we also offer positions as cover teachers. We welcome applications from experienced, dedicated teachers throughout the year. When applying for a position, please indicate your availability regarding start dates in your cover letter.

Qualifications

We require a minimum first degree from an English-speaking university and a CELTA or Trinity accredited teaching certificate. Your original certificate, and your passport, must be brought with you to any interview that may take place. DELTA qualification is reflected in the salary. All candidates must be of native speaker level and must be able to provide Right to Work details if interviewed.

Successful candidates will be expected to complete a CRB check. All gaps in your CV must be explained during the interview and two references must be obtained before any offer of employment is made.

Compensation

Salary is dependant upon experience gained after completion of your teaching qualification. All teachers start on a 3-month probationary contract and we offer annual performance and salary reviews.
