Hey all,
Well seeing as the weather is being typically British, and that Malvern House students are ingraining themselves into real British culture by complaining about the weather, I thought ‘why not invite some to Kings Cross to watch a film about one of their (and my) favourite bands!
So it went as the Malvern House Classic Albums Documentary night rolled on into 2012 with what was supposed to be the 2010 film ‘Stones In Exile’ – a film about the making of a classic Rolling Stones album, ‘Exile On Main Street’.
As it happened, the DVD was too slow in getting to us, so I gave the students a choice collection of music DVDs to choose from. They all went for ‘The Wall’ by Pink Floyd – quite a dark and dystopian film set to the amazing music of the Floyd! They loved it, and we all sat and watched the film with loads of popcorn and other such munchies! It is fair to say that we were all ‘Comfortably Numb’ after watching the film!
Oh yeah, Happy New Year by the way, both for January 1st and for Chinese New Year! Rock on!!
