Students will study 5 subjects over 6 months. Each subject will be examined externally. Exams take place in June and December.
- International Travel, Tourism and Hospitality
This module aims to develop an understanding of the patterns, principles and management of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry. Students are taught to identify the various components of the industry and understand how these components relate to international patterns of tourism. More
- Managing in Organisation
Covers organisational theory and structures, the role of management in organisational change, organisational development. More
- Sustainable Tourism, Planning and Development
Covers the environmental impacts of tourism, including the effects of tourism development on host cultures and the natural environment. It also covers methods of planning and managing tourism development in order to minimise negative impacts. More
- Strategic Marketing Management
Introduces students to marketing strategy and planning, the main components of the marketing mix, portfolio analysis of markets and competitors and consumer marketing. More
- Strategic Hospitality Management
Covers business planning and management in the tourism and hospitality sectors. More
Admissions procedure
In order to enrol in the ABE Advanced Diploma programme, you must have an Advanced level of English and have either passed the ABE Diploma or have a related undergraduate degree. Please note that the course is not designed to improve your English language level.
To apply, students should contact Malvern House. They will be asked to submit:
- A completed Malvern House Pathway application form (link to application form)
- A personal statement of no less than 250 words entitled “Why I want to study in the United Kingdom”;
- A copy of the IELTS certificate/English level; and
- Copies of school certificates/transcripts
