We can give students general advice about applying for a visa, but for more detailed information speak to your travel agency, or contact the British Embassy in your country. Always make sure that if you need entry clearance that you make your application well in advance.
The UK Border Agency website is very useful for prospective students: www.ukvisas.gov.uk
If you are an EU citizen you do not need a visa to study in the UK.
A student coming to study in the UK for six months or less can choose to apply for a ‘student visitor visa’ instead of a student visa. The application fee is lower, but a student visitor cannot work and cannot extend their stay in the UK beyond six months under any circumstances.
If you are a Non-Visa National (i.e. nationals from Brazil, Japan, Korea and Mexico) studying for less than 6 months, you can choose to apply for entry clearance before you travel, or make your visa application at the airport on arrival in the UK.
All Visa National students must apply for entry clearance before travelling to the UK.

Learning English will mean hard work. You will need to prove to them that you are highly motivated.
You can of course study English in your own country, but there are advantages to doing it in the UK. You will get better tuition with native speakers and you will learn faster in an English environment.
The answer may be that you consider Malvern House a quality collegeaccredited by the British Council with excellent facilities.
You may need to explain that you have calculated the cost of tuition and the cost of living in the UK and that you have enough money to pay for it. On this website you will find estimates of the UK's cost of living. The British Embassy needs to be confident that you will be able to support yourself for the full length of your course.
Malvern House has a wide range of courses apart from General English – for instance Exam courses and Business courses. You should be able to explain the benefit of the particular course you have selected.
Will your course help you in your career? Will it enable you to get a higher salary? Will it help you in your academic work? Will passing a Cambridge Exam be of benefit to your CV? Are you considering a possible University Course in the UK? It makes sense to prepare a study plan for the next year or two years.
You may want to see more of England or visit Europe after your course, but the Embassy wants to be sure that after your visa has expires, you will return home.
