The University of East London (UEL) is a successful, modern university which is recognised for its excellence in both teaching and research across a range of disciplines. UEL is rated in the top 10 modern Universities for research (www.educationguardian.co.uk) and its professors are engaged in work of national and international importance. Offering a wide choice of programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, students are able to choose a degree that meets academic interests and employment aspirations. The majority of our programmes have a February as well as September start.

UEL's campuses at Docklands and Stratford are located in East London, an affordable part of the city and close to the major financial centre of Canary Wharf. An exciting place to be based, East London is currently preparing to host the 2012 Olympics.

Ranked as the No 1 University in the UK for spending on facilities per student (The Times Good University Guide 2006/7), the campuses provide an impressive learning environment. Recent developments include a range of brand-new, state of the art features, including high-tech IT suites, 24/7 multimedia libraries, a trading floor, lecture theatres and workshops. In February 2007, the magnificent new Business School building, Library and Knowledge Dock Centre were officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Situated in a stunning waterfront location, on-campus accommodation is also offered with en-suite bathrooms, modern facilities and internet access. UEL is also ranked as the No 1 University in the UK for inclusivity (Guardian University Guide 2006/7). Welcoming students from a wide variety of cultural, social, religious and ethnic backgrounds, the University's student community is vibrantly multicultural. A wide range of specialist support services is provided for international students, looking after personal and academic needs. These include an International Student Advice Team, an Employability Unit, English Language and Study Skills Support and an International Office.
